During my research I found Kintsugi - a Japanese art of re-piecing broken pottery using gold. I really like this idea as a metaphor for creating yourself out of the pieces you have, making a unique personality. I want to work with the idea of putting broken pieces back together to make something whole again because it brings a sense of optimism.

The inspiration for this mood-board was based on the word fragmented. I wanted to take a more positive approach to a word that suggests broken and loneliness. I decided to focus on on pieces coming together to form something rather than breaking apart.
What I've taken from my research:
-
The colour pallet Im going for ranges from shades of blues to purples and pale peaches.
-
I will use colour doge to add highlights- there is a lot of glow white on deep colours
-
I will experiment with the word 'shards'
-
I will make it look reflective/ shiney
-
I will work with reflections
